The Providence Elementary School made it a goal to be litter free. They were presented with many awards and Providence City itself won many awards throughout the 70’s for the Beautification of our City.
For many years Providence had their own Royalty. The Providence Dairy Princess pageant was held and the royalty was chosen. They represented Providence by riding on floats during many parades throughout the valley. Dairy Darlings were the little girls that also rode on the floats. Here are some pictures from the past:
